Sunflower Program
We’re proud to continue our commitment to accessibility and community care at Lorne Proteins—this year, we’re again offering the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program on-site.
Hidden Disabilities
-
What is the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower?
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a simple tool for you to voluntarily share that you have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent – and that you may need a helping hand, understanding, or more time in shops, at work, on transport, or in public spaces.

Accessible & Inclusive: Sunflower Hidden Disabilities at Lorne Proteins 2026
Visit the registration desk to pick up your Sunflower lanyard or pin. This globally recognized symbol discreetly indicates you may need extra time, understanding, or assistance—helping us ensure you’re supported throughout the conference.
To make spaces more comfortable and accessible, Sunflower icons will also be printed and placed on select seats in the ballroom—creating reserved seating that acknowledges and accommodates hidden access needs.

Proud Supporters
The Sunflower initiative is all about enabling subtle, respectful communication of one’s support needs, without having to explain—it fosters empathy and inclusion through a simple, powerful signal.
Thank you for helping us create an even more welcoming environment. If you'd like assistance at any point, don’t hesitate to ask—our team is here for you.
